All aspects of job search require compelling, audience-focused messages.  This is especially true for the resume, which serves as a foundation for cover letters, LinkedIn profiles and interview preparation.  This session will cover the essential core messaging aspects of effective resumes – the value statement and strength/SAR stories.  It will also present options for overall structure/content and some important “dos and don’ts.” Participants will leave the session with clear guidelines on how to develop or rework a resume into one that better fits their specific job search.

Presenter: Keith Owens. Keith Owens is the former Program Director, and current instructor at CareerPlaceTM in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, and leads the Highly Effective Job Search series of six workshops at The Community Career Center of Naperville. He is adept at helping job seekers prepare for a variety of “selling” situations by developing audience-focused messages and strong presentation and interviewing skills.

Free to CCC members, $25 for non-members.
