Become a Volunteer!  <<application form

Because of people’s typically busy lifestyles, we know that your time is a precious commodity. Therefore, any time that you have to donate is a valuable gift to us. We have staff members volunteer anywhere from 4 hours (minimum required) a month to 10 hours a week. The following are volunteer opportunities with which we need help:

Introductory Interviewer: Assess how job seekers are doing in their job search. Orient job seekers to the Center, including: describe who we are and how we can help, provide a tour of the Center, and explain other resources outside the Center which are available to job seekers.

Human Resource/Business Professional: Provide one-on-one appointments with clients, covering such topics as resume writing, interviewing skills, career counseling, job search strategy, and networking.

Speakers Bureau: Represent the Community Career Center for various speaking opportunities such as United Way events, community outreach programs, and workshops.

Computer Specialist: Provide basic computer training. 

Marketing Specialist: If you have experience in developing marketing materials, your talents can make a difference. Prepare brochures, press releases, event invitations, and posters.

Newsletter: Write articles and edit stories for submission to the Center’s newsletter, which helps keep the volunteers informed about the Center’s growth and progress.

Follow-up Calls: Call clients to find out if they have found employment or are no longer active. For those still seeking jobs, provide encouragement and remind them of the services available at the Center.
